The Unshakable Foundation

Your Unshakable Foundation

Having an unshakable foundation in your life means to live grounded and at peace regardless of your circumstances. What is your foundation? What is the rock upon which you build you life? What do you fall upon when everything falls apart around you?

Entrepreneurs struggle with depression when their companies fail. Artists live with heartbreak and pain when their creations are not recognized. Most people give up on their dreams when the trials of life and the storms of reality beat hard against them. When everything crumbles and things fail to work, what do you fall upon? The answer to this question will spare you from heartache, save your health and your life. Some years ago I founded my startup company. Before I did any work on the business, I wanted to make sure I build everything on an unshakable foundation. For that, I asked myself one question: “If everything I do fails, if I end up with nothing after going on this journey, what is it the one thing that I want to have left? What do I value so much that I want to keep if everything else goes away?”
To me the answer was immediate: regardless of what happens in my life, I want to keep my relationship with Jesus Christ pure. This became my foundation on which I build everything even today. Knowing this answer gave me the freedom to create a company without any fear, because I knew that no matter how things turn out, I will be fine. Jesus Christ must be your foundation and the rock upon which you lay your mind, your heart and your life.

The Jailer and The Prisoner

The Jailer and The Prisoner

What do you see when you look at a prison house from high above? There are brick walls, and iron gates and metal doors dividing the prison building into two: on one side are the guards and on the other the condemned.

The guards seem free and the inmates seem locked up, but in reality they live together in the same dark world. Neither can be free at will unless the other will escape as well. The jailer is not free because he spends day after day in the same place keeping his eyes on the condemned. When you look at a prison from above you truly realise the jailer and the prisoner share the same bleak world.

This is what Jesus Christ meant when he said: “Judge not and you will not be judged, for with the same judgement that you judge you will be judged.” You cannot be free in truth unless you give forgiveness unto all. When you deny forgiveness, your anger and resentment slam the prison door with you in chains on the inside. You might think that you judge and the other is condemned, but in reality you share the same dark and hurtful world.

Who must you forgive today?
Forgive and walk out into freedom.

The Parable of the Wolf

The Healing Touch

A wolf was roaming the lands surrounding the town of Bethlehem. Throughout the year, shepherds were on the lookout every night with their dogs and torches, to guard the sheep from this wolf. However, one night they saw a brilliant star shinning above Bethlehem and all of them went to bring gifts to this new born baby they’ve just heard about.

The wolf sneaked through the shadows, creeped through the dark, and crawled behind the shepherds to the manger where the baby was sleeping. The shepherds bowed in front of the child, raised their hands in praise, sang prayers for grace, and returned to their sheep. The two parents have had a long and difficult journey to reach this manger, and fell asleep in a corner, on a pile of hay.

The wolf crawled from the shadows to the baby, growling and snarling and drooling over his gentle little body. He opened his mouth to attack the child, but in that moment the baby’s hand touched the ugly, wiry, dirty fur of the animal.

People had always cast stones at him, cursed and chased him with clubs and torches, thrown stones at him, but nobody had ever touched his fur. The child stroke the wolf’s snout, looked at him and giggled with love. All of a sudden, the wolf’s skin cracked, ruptured and fell on the floor, and out came a man. A human being – naked, trembling, shivering in cold, and crying tears of joy. Nobody had ever looked at him with love, nobody had ever touched him, and nobody had ever seen him before for who he really was. This baby boy had set him free.

You are precious to God. Will you reach out and touch Jesus Christ?

When The Moment Arrives

When The Moment Arrives

Do you remember the first day of school, when your mom and dad gave you the new uniform, the shiny shoes and a little lunch box with fresh food made that morning?

The mystery of your relationship with our Heavenly Father is mirrored in your relationship with your children.

For the first 5-6 years of your life, you never asked nor worried about your school uniform, the shoes you will wear or the lunch box for the first day of school. Probably you didn’t even know you needed them before school started and you did get them.

Your parents knew you needed them, and when the moment arrived, you received them. You didn’t get them before or after, but when the moment of need arrived.

You might understand now what our Heavenly Father meant when He said: “I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers.” Jesus reaffirmed this message when He said: “Your Father knows you need all these even before you even ask Him.”

Do not worry about the future. There is perfect peace in this moment.
Do not worry.

Today only remember and trust your Heavenly parent, the One who breathed life into your body and spirit. He will give you all you need. When the moment arrives.

Before Everything Else

Before Everything Else

The greatest mystery in this Universe: the relationship between us and God – is revealed on Earth in the simplest and most beautiful way: our relationship with our own children.

Do you know that “Even before He made the world, God loved you?”
You may say “That’s nice” but not really grasp the deep meaning and full revelation of this truth. Think with me.

I don’t have kids, but when I think of having my own children in the future, right now, years before they are conceived and born, I love them with my life and heart. Before I prepare their bedroom and their toys, I love them. In the same way God loves you. Before He made the world and anything else for you, He loved you.

Just as you love your children for life, God loves you for eternity. I love Him back.
