Know Yourself: Live an Inspired Life
When you observe a galaxy, you see planets, stars, and interstellar clouds spinning around a center that no one can see. The elements of a galaxy do not live forever. Planets, stars, and comets die and disappear, and others become part of it. The black hole in the center no one can see holds everything together. When you observe yourself, you see your body, your thoughts, and your feelings spinning around a center that no one can see. These too do not last forever. Cells die and get replaced, thoughts come and go, emotions rise and fall. Life is the center no one can see that holds everything together. “For as the Father has life in Himself, even so he has given to the son to have life in himself” said Jesus. “It is the Spirit that gives life,” and “life was the light of men.” The word spirit comes from the latin word spiritus, which literally means the breath of life.
You are the center. You are life. You are love. You are the child of life and truth. “Truth is not a thought, not a word, not a relationship between things, not a law” wrote Saint Nicholas of Serbia in the 1923. Truth “is a Being that gives life to all.” The Divine spark within you gives you life. You are the life without polarity, and the love beyond the body, beyond the mind, and beyond the emotions. You are the experiencer of all moments of your life. “I am in my Father and my Father is in me” continued Jesus, “I am never alone because the Father is with me.” It can never be the Divine and you, because you are the spark of the Divine in you. The sun and the sun beam, the tree and the branch can never be separated. Love is the foundation, and love and life are one–the substance upon which your body, your mind, your emotions rise and fall. These are merely the tools you have been given to create and experience life.
